The Meating Place is a 9 years in operation local Bar-B-Que restaurant in Magnolia, Texas. Although the concept is new, the flavor has been perfected over many years. At the Meating Place BBQ, we believe Bar-B-Que is at its best when all of the powerful flavors combine and harmonize.

Our Story

Where It All Began

Buddy Adams, a lifelong Bar-B-Que enthusiast and Magnolia resident, first introduced his exceptional Bar-B-Que skills to the public with BABBQ in the 90s. After its closure, he seized the chance to return to the Bar-B-Que scene by opening The Meating Place BBQ on July 7, 2017, in a building once part of Bear Branch School Campus.

With years of experience, Buddy’s craftsmanship shines through in every dish, from brisket to sausage, making The Meating Place BBQ a renowned spot among locals and travelers from Magnolia to Tomball, Katy, and beyond, quickly earning it the title of Best Bar-B-Que Restaurant in the area.

The secret lies first in the quality and freshness of the meat we select. Our brisket is only the best certified Black Angus (CAB) prime cuts available (and we do send some back!) It’s then influenced with our care in preparation, the rubs we use, and the time that it spends in our patented pit called the 360 Smoker – that we’ve built ourselves. We match the right cut of meat with the right rub, wood, smoke, and sauce.
